My Birthday Wishlist

Happy birthday to me! 🎂 Well not quite yet, but soon!  You may recall last month, for the first time ever, I missed the anniversary of Sparkles and Shoes.  While still shocking one date I will never forget is September 27th – my birthday.  It will not be as big of a deal this year, especially because Lily turns six months old the next day, but still, it is happening.  Mark and I have a babysitter and plans to go out to dinner and I am very much looking forward to a date night and hopefully and evening that ends with mint chocolate chip ice cream. A far as presents go, here is my 2023 birthday wishlist:

1 |  “The Rollinsons” Custom Blue Notecards, Set of 5. $44 – When Lily was born we got custom thank you notes made with her name on them but do not have any stationary from us as a family so these would be lovely.  And what a gift request in your 30’s – goodness I feel like a grown up.

2 |  Olaplex Olaplex Hair Perfector No. 3  $30  – Perhaps the most boring item on the list and yes, it very expensive for a little bottle but this conditioner is magic.  You only use it 1x per week and my last bottle lasted me five months – it is  such an effective treatment!

3 |  Lululemon Wunder Train High-Rise Crop 23″ in Pitch Blue $88 – I absolutely love the two pairs of Lululemon capri leggings I have in the Align High Rise style.  I went with Mark over the weekend to look at another pair, as one of mine is pregnancy size, but fell in love with these which are both a different color and different style then I was thinking.

4 |  OFFICE Flick Retro Tassel Loafers in Blush Suede 36 GBP ($45)  – I already own two pairs of loafers from Office, one in nude suede and one in black leather ,and they are both well loved.  When I saw this pair on sale they definitely had to make this list plus they are usually £73 ($90).

5 |  Cosabella Bella Relaxed Long Sleeve Top & Pant. $150 – I got my first pair of Cosabella pajamas last Fall and included them in my post My Best Fall Finds: Purchases and Gifts, but at the time had not shared that I was pregnant.  I bought them in a size XL to accommodate my growing bump and now, nearly six months after giving birth, I am wearing the bottoms as I type this post.  To say they are too big though is an understatement so a new pair would be lovely.

6 |  Illume Boulangerie Angel Food Jar Candle $20 –  A few months ago I saw a viral post on Instagram about not taking a normal day for granted and it included of list of things you should do, including “burn the candle”.  I have quite a few nice candles and I have made an point to start burning them, that is what they are there for!  The “color” of this candle is Angel Food but when I read the description of the scent; “Sweet vanilla, butter, and caramel combine to create this decadent mixture.” it spoke to me on a personal level.

7 |  New Era New York Yankees cotton baseball cap. $30  – I already own this hat but it now has a permeant stain of unknown origin and which bleach will not remove.  Thus, a new hat would be ace.

8 |  LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask Berry 20g 19 GBP ($24) – Earlier this month while getting ready on the morning of my brother’s wedding by the makeup artist used this cult favorite on my lips and I am sold. It not only made my dry lips feel luscious but made the lipstick look so much better.

9 |  Mama Necklace in Gold  $35 – Is this only something a mom would like?  Quite possibly but that’s me – giant hand raise.  When telling Lily who I am I use the name “mommy” and Mark refers to me as “mummy” so this Mama necklace feels like a great in between.

On my 2019 birthday wishlist  I included a Soho Farmhouse Spa Day which I would still love, how much fun would a spa day in the countryside? Honestly anything on the treatment menu would be great but my top three would be the Bespoke Facial, Deep Tissue Massage, and Cryotherapy treatment.  Similarly the Aire Ancient Bath Experience is still on our wedding registry – swoon!

And then a ridiculous, if-I-won-the-lottery list of things, just because. This is the fourth time I have published a luxury wishlist on Sparkles and Shoes and looking back not changed much since my 2017 luxury wishlist so this proves I’m at least consistent, no?  And most of these don’t need any explanation for this 2023 birthday wishlist, luxury edition:

Any one of those would be incredible but I do know they are utterly ridiculous, hence, winning the lottery.   And, of course, while gifts are great, having those closest to me happy and healthy really is the best gift!  Family, if you are looking at this list, check with me first as a few people have already called dibs.
