Today is my birthday. And to be honest, it is quite different than years of past. It is not a milestone number, it is a monday, and it is a bit overshadowed this year by my wedding which is in less than a month, and that’s okay. That is not to say this is a pitty-party post, just for a girl who loves to celebrate their birthday – and preferably the whole month – this year is a bit difference. And maybe that is a part of growing up? So today I wanted to share some birthday musings.
Looking back on my 30th birthday post quite a bit has changed but some have not. I also realized in my birthday’s with Mark we have always gone away – in 2019 it was a trip to the Jurassic Coast in Doreset and in 2020 an Italian road trip. Instead of traveling I will be headed to the office for a busy day of meetings and preparing for the start of Q4 (October 1st is the beginning of the last three months of the year, if you’re business uses a calendar year and quite busy in my line of work). While that may sound boring I’m actually pleased to be able to go into the office after 18 months at home.
Speaking of plans, two weeks ago I had none but now I am meeting friends for a late afternoon tea and then a late date night with Mark. I have no idea what is planned, I just know where and when to meet him and I’m looking forward to the surprise. Speaking of my fiancé, Mark’s birthday is next week excited to go on a joint birhday adventure this weekend to Paris where we already haev a lot planned. Given COVID we have tickets pre-book for a fe wthings, including the Loruve and the Musuem D’Orsay (both of which I blogged about in my 2018 Paris posts) but most of the trip, we are going to wing-it.
Overall it’s shaping up to what should be a nice birthday, different, but nice. And that concludes my birthday musings.

That skirt is perfect on you. If you were one of my clients that would have been a piece I would have picked out for you.
Pairing it with the booties and the red purse, a winning outfit. Not over done and the pop of shoulder, you pulled off a great look Kelly.

Oh Paris for the joint birthday celebrations, how romantic and smart of you to get prebooked tickets. So fun to be traveling again.
I have a few things booked myself but nothing quite as glamorous as Paris.
Looking forward to seeing your insta posts on the trip.
Happy birthday Kelly.

You deserve it and love the photo. To me you could already be in Paris!

Happy Birthday Kelly. Working is not the best way to celebrate your birthday. Hope you have a great dinner with Mark tonight and I hope you are wearing your best dress with a pair of killer heels to celebrate your birthday. Paris should be fun this weekend. Hope you 2 have a blast there.
