If you are one of the hundreds of people who congratulated Mark and I on Instagram over the weekend, thank you! For those of you who did not see the news yet, I shared the photo above with the caption “2023 is going to be filled with so much love! 💞👶🏼 Mark and I are excited and full of hope for the impending arrival of our rainbow baby – she will be here soon! #thirdtrimester #babyrollinson”
The last eight and a half months my emotions have been all over the place, since May 1st when our world was turned upside down. And if regular emotions weren’t a lot, add pregnancy hormones on top.
Yes, I’m pregnant. And she’s coming soon. Mark and I have known a baby girl would be joining our family for a while now but unlike my last pregnancy, didn’t feel comfortable sharing until now. It’s not that we were trying to hide it, everyone who has seen me in real life can clearly tell and those closest to us we told late last year. However, growing a baby is hard work and despite doing everything by the book, the outcome can not be guaranteed
Yes, every pregnancy is different but it doesn’t stop the overwhelming anxiety. However, I am in the third trimester now – nearly all of my clothes are maternity, my child prep classes begin soon, and it is time to put together the nursery. Over the next few weeks I will start to share more about these happy moments – let me know if there are any in particular you are keen on reading about. And while I don’t want to go into details, just a reminder that babies don’t replace babies. The twins will always be with us but right now, we are excited and preparing for the arrival of our rainbow baby girl.
