Every year the masterminds at Pantone announce the color of the year and in 2023 Viva Magenta has certainly started trending. I have shared past Pantone annual hues but this is the first one in a while and the shade this year was described by WhoWhatWear as, ” Pink is power. Magenta, that is. ”
It has been described as warmer than Barbie Pink and the descriptions even for those who advertise something as viva magenta also use shades like cerise, dragon fruit, fuchsia, and magenta haze to describe it. Can you decide if it should be more fuchsia or more merlot? Honestly, I am not sure so i have pulled together some chic options that lean towards each shade both in inspiration and then how to shop it now.

Funny you just featured this color, I just had my nails done in this color and I have gotten so many compliments. Seems like my girlfriends are trending the blue and green nails but neither of those looks great with my skin tone but I am killing this color.
