After what feels like a year and a half of cancelled social engagements it is so nice to have places to go and people to see! Last month Mark and I drove a few hours out into the British countryside for the wedding of two of his friends. They are both British and it was a very traditional Church of England wedding where I got to wear a fascinator!
I picked up this dress from my first time shopping at the British department store Fenwick in May. This MAX&Co. Primula Sleeveless Belted Midi Dress was originally £190 and I got it when it was marked down to £50. I am wearing a small but if you are an XL they to have one left on the site! I had originally thought the dress would work well for my cousin’s wedding in Chicago but when I tried it on with this navy hat I knew it was a perfect fit.
To be truly accurate, this is not a hat, but a fascinator as it is essentially a headband and you have seen it before as i wore it 2.5 years ago as part of My Royal Ascot Attire. I paired with black pumps and the shoes are some of my all time favorites, the . They are from Target and extremely affordable but they seem to be sold out in every shade and size online so I have linked similar ones below. Take a look at my British wedding outfit:
