Welcome to the latest edition of really love my …, a series where I feature one of the most worn pieces in my closet. As March comes to an end the weather is topsy-turvey and I have found layers are the way to go, even for a short journey. For the past five years one of my favorite layers has been this navy and in the photos below you will see a variety o the ways I have layered it including under my All Saints Leather jacket and my Michael Kors trench coat. Over the last year it has also become a popular layer on the long walks I have taken with Mark around London and the English countryside.
It has a relaxed fit which the site describes as easy movement and while some love it I ditched the popular carrying pouch the day after I got it. That does not mean it does not travel with me – it has been scrunched, folded, stuffed, and packed more ways than you can imagine but I just did not need the small bag it came in This jacket has traveled the world, take a look:
The Prior Park Landscape Gardens. Bath, United Kingdom
With my brother in Notting Hill, London
Inside the Great Pyramids of Giza, Egypt
In the Harbor of Bergen, Norway
Biking in Richmond Park, London, United Kingdom
Cruising Through the Norwegian Fjords in Flam Norway
Travel Style at Hewanorra International Airport, St Lucia
With Zebra in the Ngorongoro Crater, Arusha Region, Tanzania
In the Cellar of Castello Sonnino, Montespertoli, Tuscany, Italy
Hot Air Balloon in the Masai Mara, Rift Valley Province, Kenya
Rosenborg Castle, Copenhagen, Denmark’
Masked Selfie at Villa Carlotta, Lake Como, Lombardy, Italy
Running Errands in London
At the Great Pyramids near Cairo, Egypt
Nearly all of these photos are somewhere in my travel logs over the past decade and as you can see, this has been around the world and back. And even looking at these photos makes me think I really should get another one, especially given the range of colors they offer. There are nearly a dozen hues on their website but here are the five I would consider (and yes, I did include the navy in there because you can never have too much of a good thing).
What do you think of this Uniqlo puffer jacket?

Amanda says
That is so cool that it can pack up small, perfect for travel!
My coats now are so bulky and heavy. Looks like a winner to me.
Thanks Kelly

A few years ago I got one in white but I hardly wear it because I am afraid it would get dirty, I may need to get one in a darker color Do you wash yours alot and if so, how does it turn out?
Beverly says
I do not have one of these but I have seen you wear it quite a few times, it does look very practical.
Helen says
I have two of their vests and wear them all the time.
Great for traveling too!
