I am sure you have been scrolling through Instagram before and seen a picture of a girl in a gorgeous outfit but just thought “I’d never wear that” or “that’s impractical”. And even if you haven’t, I’m sure you can imagine whaT I am saying. Well a few years ago I wore this adorable dress to the office but with the mid arm sleeves it severely limits your range of motion to essentially t-rex arms. I made it through the morning fine but then reached for a pen and heard a bit rip only 2 minuets before a meeting.
The fabric had topped acids the boob, luckily only showing more of the dress fabric and i had a bra on under that But still, the rio was noticeable. I quickly grabbed my wallet and rushed out the building and in the next 18 minutes made it down the elevator bank, down the block to the GAP, grabbed the first dress that even looks like it would work, ran into the changing room put it on, rip the tags off, checked out quickly, I made it back to the office for my meeting. It was a risky move but it turns out this GAP Modern Boatneck Dress I grabbed off the rack in a few seconds is one of my favorites. Take a look at some of the ways I’ve learned over the years
(On the Jurassic Coast in Southern England)
(In-between Meetings in Amsterdam)
(A Day of Shopping in New York)
(With my Best Friend in London)
(At a museum in York, England)
(Outside the Kew Palace is a British royal palace in Kew Gardens)
(With my brother and cousin in New York City)
(At the Pig on the Beach Bed and Breakfast)
As you can see, I have styled it a variety of ways and it Is actually quite interesting that when I started this blog in 2012 I would have NEVER considered wearing a dress with sneakers but now I find it to be a practical combination when you want to look cute but comfortable for a long day of exploring, especially for a city break!
What do you think of this modern boatneck dress?

You are too cute. I swear you could put on a paper bag and make it look good.

I agree with you that I never try to wear sneakers with a dress. I feel like it makes me look short and my legs squatty.
Sometimes though when I know I am going to be logging a lot of miles or walking on cobblestones etc… then just have to for feet and safety sake. At least with this dress it would look a bit more appropriate.
Cute dress on you.

I can see why that this dress is one of your go to dresses. Some dresses can work well with sneakers. This is one of them. Traveled to the office today. I am seeing more and more activity as time goes along in New York.

Awesome ways to pair such a simple dress. Never would have thought of half of them.
I guess that is why you are a fashion blogger and I am not.
I especially like when you paired it with the t-shirt as it made it look like it was a skirt. So clever. Going to copy many of these for myself and be on the lookout for that dress.

Such a great travel dress and it looks super comfortable too.
Good choice and don’t you just love it when a quickie purchase turns into such a winner.
