A few weeks ago I had the chance to go to London’s ComicCon and it was a real treat. I received a three day press pass but with no air conditioning one day was all I was able to manage but I feel like I was really able to experience all that and then some in those few hours. London Film & Comic Con took over the whole of the Olympia – a massive an exhibition center / event space in the West Kensington borough London the last weekend of July and despite three hours of wandering around, I still do not think I saw everything. It was laid out with meet and greets on the top floor and the exhibition booths in the main space. Take a look:
And the reason this post is delayed? There is a new Sherlock Homes game coming to London this Fall and as such there was a booth set up like the set of 221B Baker Street. One of the things you could do was pose on the set – and even get the props involved if you wanted – and a have professional photographer capture the moment. Of course I said yes and here is the photo:

Again, ComicCon was not quite my type of thing but I am trying to step outside of my boundaries and do fun and exciting things, especially in my new city! Is this the type of event you would ever go to?

I had that same gameboy color except mine was see-through purple – what a fun throwback!

I have heard about these kinds of things such as the Star Trek conventions and some of those video games where people really get into the characters. It is great that people who are so devoted to things like this have a place where they can meet their idols as well as other like minded people.
Not sure if I would go, maybe if it was close and a rainy day?

Not sure if I would go. ON one hand the people watching would be fascinating, on the other, I do not know too many comic book characters.
That one family has their Christmas card all set.
Interesting day you had.

Some of those people dressed up or amazing. They probably don’t even have to buy Halloween costumes they can just go in those costumes. Must have been a fascinating view into another area of culture that I’m not that familiar with. I was reading about the LA one in the paper the other day and that looked interesting too.

The girl with the sword down the back of her ballgown was a trip. Would not want to make her made at me.
Looks like a really fun and different experience.
