As I have shared on Instagram a number of times in the past few weeks, I am really not ready for Summer to end. Some people consider Labor Day the end of Summer and other the Fall Equinox but I usually consider my birthday – September 27th – to be the changing point in the seasons. That said, I know I am in the minority with this opinion so I am bringing you the first Fall fashion post of the season.
Some form of boots will top the Fall Trends every season and while in 2019 biker boots were all the rage I am so pleased that ankle boots are back! I love them with dresses and bare legs or skinny jeans and a leather jacket – depending on the bootie and the weather your options are nearly endless! I already own quite a few pairs and I am not afraid of color – I have these purple / maroon Ted Baker ones you can see below, a pair covered entirely in silver sequins, and a half dozen more practical options.
In case you do not have two shelves full of ankle booties and are on the hunt I have rounded up some of my top picks for this season and have split them into two sections – ones with heels and one without. I also tried to have feature an assortment brands – from big brand names like Frye and Steve Madden along with fall booties from smaller brands. And personally I am partial to an almond or pointed toe which most of the boots below are:
\\
1 | Steve Madden Nadalie Pointed Toe Bootie in Light Bone Croco
2 | Sol Sana Bruno Booties in Black
3 | Marc Fisher LTD. Women’s Yale Chelsea Booties in Brown Suede
4 | Vince Women’s Lanica Block Heel Booties in Natural Snake Embossed Leather
5 | Frye Women’s Reed Scalloped Mid-Heel Booties in Pale Blush Suede
6 |Chinese Laundry Rudie Bootie in White Faux Letter
7 | Frye Women’s Ray Harness Booties in Light Grey (30% off)
8 | Marc Fisher LTD. Women’s Ulani Pointed Toe High Heel Booties in Red Leather
9 | Sam Edelman Women’s Packer Leather Low Heel Booties
10 | Bella Vita Henley II Bootie in Grey Snake Print (40% off)
11 | Soludos Lola Perforated Booties in Mineral Grey (70% off)
As you can see, quite a few options embellished with buckles, cutouts, suede, zipper features, and more. The heels also vary in height from flat to a 1.5″ stacked block heel to a 3.25″ wrapped heel. Hopefully if you are in the market one of the options above will work for you and if not, let me know what you are looking for in the comments!

You always have such great style and I love the first three that you have in the photos. I don’t think I could get away with the silver ones but I applaud you for wearing them.

Too funny. I just wore my Sam Edelman brown suede booties with fun trim on them that you recommend a while ago last night.
Great selection,

I do quite like Matalan boots, affordable, comfy and trendy. I love the Autumn/ Winter for boots, knee high too. Although ankle boots are my go to. I’m desperate to wear calf leg boots this year though. The Ted Baker maroon boots are gorgeous! I love your sequined boots, giving me David Bowie vibes. I hope you enjoy the rest of your week Kelly : ) xo

Most of my ankle booties are open toe. Could use one or two cute closed toe booties for cooler weather. I am looking for a cute ankle boot with a stiletto heel and one with a block heel. Heel height 4 inches plus, no platform and no pointy toe because of my big feet. The round toe part is not as easy to find but I will find one. I like those silver block heel one. That to me is a good party boot for new years eve. You should provide the link to those cute silver boots.

Ah yes ankle boots are so fun. I just love them and they are perfect for fall. I have super fun pair in white from Sam Edelman that I love. The silver pair you are wearing are too fun! Yes I think the end of September at least temperature wise is more the end of summer.
