Snapshots from NYFW

Hello, hello from New York Fashion Week! Are you sick of the #NYFW tags on my social posts? If so, stick with it, you have less than 24 hours left until next season!  Today is day seven of the Spring/Summer 2018 and to say it’s exhausting is a bit of an understatement. Since Thursday I’ve had the privilege of going to seven shows, two presentations, and three parties while going to work every day and still fitting in a bachelorette party and a friend’s 30th birthday birthday. Phew, even typing that was a lot. But it’s definitely been a ton of fun and as I mentioned in one Insta post it’s a bit weird attending shows in 80 degree weather and seeing gorgeous designs for next season knowing we have many months of cold ahead of us! 

I will likely go into more detail in future posts but here are a few snapshots from NYFW, some of which you’ve seen on social media and some of which are new!  But first, if you have been following along on Snapchat or Instastories you will have seen the dreaded camera SAGA. To recap in case you missed it – my camera has been acting up since my Scandinavia trip in July but has still be usable until the WWD x Samsung party on Friday night where all I got was the dreaded Canon Error 70 and it refused to take a single photo. As I was out of town Saturday, Sunday was my first time to take it to the camera store and while they fixed it enough to take photos a few hours later we were back to error 70. Then Monday evening I bit the bullet and bought a new camera and even though it was quite a pretty penny (plus I got insurance) my Mom said she could even hear the relief in my voice afterwards. It turns out my old lens was still in great condition and works perfectly with my new camera so it was just the body that needed to be swapped out. I am happy for the last few days of nYFW I was able to have a working camera and we should be good to go for all upcoming trips too!
