Thursday Trend: Playful Peekaboo Dresses

Peek-a-Boo Strips, slashes, cut-outs, and see-through seams seem to be popping up all over now that the weather decided it is actually spring.  Last fall these little lapses of fabric created a really magical effect on the runways, but the looks provide a smidgen of sex appeal without revealing too much. But before I get carried away…

I have said it a million times, well maybe a dozen, but that counts as a million in blog land, right? … I LOVE getting emails from all of you. About anything and everything.  I usually respond right away and answer any questions my readers have but one email really summarized something many of you had been saying so I chose to address it in a post:

“Kelly, Sparkles & Shoes is a great blog and I love reading what you write. I only wish some of the items you single out were more affordable. I have stopped clicking on the links below items you post because every time I get to the site it makes me sad that the price is way over my budget.  like 20 times my annual shopping budet. Next time you do a post about clothes could you possible include items that cost less money and point those items out?  thanks! {name removed}”

With this is mind ALL of these dresses I consider “reasonable”.  That said, I do not vouch for their material or quality but I do think they are adorable.  ALL OF THESE DRESSES ARE UNDER $50.  These are my favorites:

    Oh, I heart cheap ass Forever 21. Sometimes I luck up and get nice stuff there. Other times it’s made for 14-year-old.

    I actually JUST got a cutout dress for an upcoming party. I have a few more cruches I need to do before I can wear it, but I’m excited!

    I love the purple, but I don’t think I’d actually ever wear that. Now the yellow – I would totally wear that! Adding it to my list 🙂

    I like when they are subtle- but I’ve seen women wearing cut-outs in areas they shouldn’t be! haha I love all the dresses you chose though!
