A Killer Black Dress

Oh hey Friday, nice to see you!  My favorite day of the week has arrived and I am even more excited than usual because I have a crazy big weekend ahead of me and yes, I promise by the end of these two paragraphs it will somehow related to the photo above and the handful below.  My weekend ends with one of my best friends flying in from England for a short visit and I am thrilled that she will be staying with me for a few days as we always have a terrific time when we are together.

But before that I am heading to Connecticut for a wedding of a two of my Georgetown swimming teammates and make sure you check out yesterday’s post about swimming in case you missed it.  In May you may recall I went to Mallory’s bridal shower and then last month headed to Block Island, Rhode Island for her amazing bachelorette weekend and now tomorrow is the third and culminating celebration, the wedding!  I am so excited! I had a look all planned, the dress you see above, which I would definitely wear if the attire was black-tie optional but when I found out the dress was more casual I have decided to opt for this dress instead. But for right now, let’s talk this BB Dakota black dress and how I accessorized it:
