I have been a Lilly Pulitzer fan since the age of 10 when I got my first brightly patterned pink dress. For five years I wore a ton of Lily until I had to start purchasing my own clothes and it quickly became out of reach due to the cost. Fast forward ten years, Lily is doable again.
I try and take a 1:15pm barre class every Sunday and the studio is located on 77th and Madison Avenue. A few weeks ago, freshly showered from class I decided to walk up Madison as I had an errand to run and found the Lilly store. It is remarkable that I have lived less than a mile away for more than a year I had never been in. Please excuse the wet hair, lack of makeup, and iPhone photos, but the store was too cute not to document, especially when I started finding items I had to try on.
The fitting room was adorably adorned with Lilly prints and the cutest combination of preppy and nautical touches. The weather was hot enough for it to be Palm Beach so it was not much of a stretch to transport me there. The photos do not do a good job showing it but the room had a terrific dimmer switch allowing me to adjust the lighting to check out the clothes in every possible scenario!
Lilly Pulitzer Gabby Shift Dress
Lilly Pulitzer Delia Shift Dress
While all three dresses were cute they were a bit too short to wear to work and now that is my new criteria I took a pass and instead purchased this adorable flamingo tank and these seersucker scalloped shorts which are perfect for weekend brunch!
Do you shop at Lilly Pulitzer?
