It is almost the weekend, hip-hip-horray! This week has felt extra long because it has been constntly grey but I am hoping it will dry up for the weekend (loo at me talking about the weather… so British!). But horrible weather leaves time for lots of indoor activitive! You may recal I mentioned in my five Things I Have STARTED Doing Since Lockdown post that I have started using my beauty samples and between this and just going through regular products (I am making an effort to get dressed and do makeup every work day) I have started going through quite a few things and I thought I would share thoughts on my quarantine empties pictured in the shot below:

Batiste Dry Shampoo, Original (US / UK) – For years my favorite dry shampoo was the– Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Shampoo (mentioned here, here, and here) but they stopped making it and I turned to this one from Batiste. I have found if you shake it well you can revive your hair in just a few seconds. repurchase
John Frieda Frizz Ease Extra Strength (US /UK) – This has been another holy grail favorite for years and I stocked up before I moved to London but thankfully realized they also sell it in the UK so I am not too sad about this quarantine empties (as I have used two). repurchase
Makeup Forever Lipstick (US) – A fun red lipstick but admittedly one I have had longer than the one year you are supposed to keep lipstick as I have had less of a chance to wear it but it has made a fun pop on video calls lately. I am only saying to skip it because I have many others that need to be used up first. skip
Kiehls Facial Cream (US / UK) – People love this and I can see why, it is a great lightweight mositerizer but in just the few uses I got out of this sample I started breaking out, so sadly, a pass for me. skip
Masque Bar Silver Foil Sheet Mask (US / UK ) – This was such a fun face mask as it was actually a bright metallic silver and my face felt so much more hydrated when I took it off. repurchase
Tesco Organic Virgin Coconut Oil (UK) – In reading an article about the best things to do in lockdown I came across an article that since you can not get hair cuts, then hair masks are key. I have thus been using this coconut oil as a weekly hair mask and have seen a noticeable different in how smooth my hair is! repurchase

Garnier Micellar Water Oil Infused Facial Cleanser Delicate Skin and Eyes (US / UK) – Definitely the longest product name of any of the items here and was one I was looking forward to trying as it promised to remove waterproof makeup without rensing AND was safe for those who wear contacts but half a dozen evenings using it, I didn’t get it. The oil left my face feeling greasy like I wanted to wash it and it made me break out. skip
Beverly Hills MD Anti Aging Lip Enhancer (US) – My friend Kier turned me on to this lip gloss which promotes healthy new collagen production while giving you a great gloss. I actually bought three more in their last sale. repurchase
Garnier Fructis Smoothing Treat Hair Mask (US) – This was a great sample and the full size product is the #1 Best Seller in Hair Treatment Masks and i can see why – a one minute mask that provides anti-frizzz properties and can be applied in the shower is awesome. I am still partial to the coconut oil mask but for something quick, yes. repurchase
Naked Drama Kiss Lashes (US / UK) – You know I absolutely adore these Kiss nails so I was interested in trying their false lashes. I did not use their glue (I have used the Ardell Duo Striplash Adhesive Dark for a decade) but I was impressed with the quality of the lashes and how full and dramatic they looked. repurchase
Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray Honey Ornament (US / UK) – Yes, you read that correctly, ornament. I picked this up over the holidays as a huge fan of teh classic setting spray and always looking for travel size favorites but this one was very odd – spraying something honey scented on your face. skip
The Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension 30% in Silicone (US / UK) – This stuff works. Do you really need more than that? Haha. With a big birthday looming I need all of the brightening and fine line reduction I can get and this formula which is 30% L-Ascorbic acid responded really well to my skin. repurchase

Bliss Eye Got This Holographic Foil Moisturizing Eye Mask (US) – Not only are these pretty but after 20 minutes I noticed my eyes were less puffy and brighter – exactly the point! They were also supposed to reduce dark circles but I have never found a product that has done that so I will not hold it against them. repurchase
Urban Decay Perversion Mascara (US / UK) – This was a mascara sample and I thought it worked well providing good coverage and tint I am a fan of dramatic volume and length so I used up the sample but do not need a full size tube. skip
Maybelline Face Studio Master Prime Pore Minimizer (US / UK) – This stuff is pure magic. A little goes a long way but this was probably my 5th or 6th tube as use it as my primer on a daily basis and find whatever product I put on-top – foundation, concealer, shadow, or highlighter just goes on so much smoother and it really does blur as promised. repurchase
Bach Rescue Night Liquid Melts (US / UK) – While not quite a beauty product over the past few months I have found this flower based sleep aid great when I am tossing and turning plus it is homeopathic and non-habit forming. And while I found these at Boots (a drugstore) here in England it turns out they exist stateside too – you can get them at Walmart! repurchase
So there you have it, more than 1,000 words on the products I have used during locdown and a review on each! But in case you still have any questions, feel free to drop comments or queries below in the comment section.

I should really do that. I went through my closets, my jewelry and purses and shoes. Then I did my kitchen shelves and storage area but somehow missed the make up.
Will have to get to it this weekend. I am sure I will have to throw half of it out and it will be fun to try some of those samples that I keep saving for a rainy day.
Maybelline Face Studio Master Prime Pore Minimizer I could really use. Will have to get a tube.

Nail polish….I had so many bottles that I am a bit embarresed by sharing that I stopped counting but maybe 100. It was a walk down memory lane of all the fadish colors and then the orange for a Halloween party that I threw and many, many other colors that I would not normally wear.
Made a lot of room for things that I use on a regular bases and felt good to declutter.

For sure and I went through all of my make up.
