It has been three years since I stepped on a plane by myself—the last time was a trip to the Gdansk Christmas market when I was pregnant with Lily! I flew out to Arizona specifically to see my best friend (and Maid of Honor!), and after the chaos of flying with little ones, sitting in economy next to strangers felt like a spacious, luxurious dream. (Stay tuned, because I have a post on traveling with littles coming very soon).
Here is a look at the highlights from my Phoenix girls weekend:
Good Eats and Drinks We fully leaned into vacation mode with some incredible meals, highlighting the best carbohydrates the city had to offer. Between the breakfast sandwiches, wood-fired pizza and the savory flatbreads, we were well-fueled for all our adventures. And Kitty was right the Rosa pizza with parmigiano reggiano, red onion and pistachio at Pizzeria Bianco really was something to write home about. Saturday night we also enjoyed a “ride” with cocktails at Platform 18, an Immersive Train Bar in Phoenix located within Century Grand.

Good Exercise We managed to balance our relaxation with movement, mixing in a structured Barre class to stretch out our travel legs. Honestly, though, our long strolls through the gardens and the miles we walked while shopping definitely counted as cardio, too.

Good Shopping We loved the outdoor mall in Biltmore, where I finally found the perfect pair of jeans at Everlane. Over at the mall in Scottsdale, I picked out a Christmas present at Gorjana to order later and officially bought my first two pieces (this top and these pants) from Vuori!
Good Nature The Phoenix Desert Botanical Garden was a stunning backdrop that gave us a true taste of the Southwest landscape. It was incredibly relaxing to just walk among the cacti and soak up the unique beauty of the desert.

Good Culture We took a trip to the ASU campus to take in a performance of the musical Shucked. It was such a fun show and the perfect way to add a little theater and culture to our itinerary for a fraction of the price of Broadway.

Good Quality Time Beyond the activities, the best part of the Phoenix girls weekend was simply slowing down for s’mores by the fire. We also got plenty of puppy cuddles, which made the time away from home feel even cozier.

Which part of this Phoenix girls weekend speaks to you?
