Henry James, Three Months Old

Henry James, your smiles make my whole day! Little boy, watching you grow day by day is incredible and I am still marveling how big you are getting just from “Mommy milk”. Your sister turned two last week and now you are three months – oh no, where is the time going! This is my third monthly update for Henry James, read on!

Nicknames: Baby Bear, Big Boy, and Little Man remain the same with Lily actually calling him “big boy” this past week. We also call him Baby Henry and that is likely the most frequent right now as that is how we refer to him when talking to his big sister.

Firsts: Henry got to meet his Grandma Gill who traveled all the way from Derbyshire, England to see him! They spent 10 days cuddling and bonding and it was the absolute cutest. Henry also attended his first birthday party (Lily turned two) and he got to meet both of his great grandmas and so many friends and family who attended his baby shower – lucky boy!

Weight: Est. 12 pounds though very rough as this was on our bathroom scale.

Length: There is no official three month check-up so we don’t have a exact measurement but given the fact he is growing out of 0-3 clothes it has definitely increased.

Teeth: Henry has 0 teeth.

Loves: His Lovevery Playgym!! When I finally publish my baby registry must-haves you better believe this will be on it!. Henry also enjoys bath when grown ups are close enough he can see them to play, being held over people’s left shoulder (same as Lily!) and overnight sleeps in his Mori Baby Clever Year Round Sleep Sack in blue stripe with a 1.5 TOG weight.

Hates: Being hungry, when we are in the car for too long, and when Lily tries to pick him up, eek!

Moments I don’t want to forget:

His pure joy and giggles when someone spins the toy on his bouncer.
Met both great grandmas and extended family at Lily’s second birthday party last weekend.
How much Lily wants to help from changing diapers to soothing him when he cries to attempting to put him in the carrier and even trying to pump, lol.
When he erupts in fully belly laughs.
Henry’s head control has improved so much and he is working on sitting up aided now, see below!
