For the past few years every time I have packed for a trip my white New York Yankees hat has made it in my suitcase. There are more photos then I could ever use of me in this hat so I have had to pick and choose. For the majority I have picked shots with Mark. I have put a blurb above each one so you can see just how much this hat (I have actually had two) has traveled.

Holding on to the hat for dear life in windy, ocean locations – Madeira, Seven Sisters, and the Bahamas
And I don’t know if it’s just me but at least half the time I wear this hat I sing the lyrics “I made the Yankee hat more famous than a Yankee can,” in my head. Granted, I am definitely not more famous than Jay-Z but his song “Empire State of Mind” came out when I was in uni and at the time I think it is what the kids would call a “bop”. Lastly, I am not the only one in the family who is a fan of a Yankee hat – over the past few years here are shots of my niece, brother, and husband in their own Yankee hats!

Do you use one of those plastic hat washers in the dishwasher? Always trying to keep mine with the right form and as clean as possible.

OK, so seriously what is the secret to keeping that white hat so white. You’ve certainly worn it enough where it got really dirty. I can never keep my boyfriends hats clean. Especially when he gets so sweaty in them they always look like they just went through a mud storm.
