New York is a city of 8.3 million people and sometimes I feel like I can get a bit lost in the hustle and bustle, but every once and a while I remember to stop and smell the proverbial roses. I have lived in New York City now for a year and a half and have not even cracked the surface of what this city has to offer.
Two weekends ago I took advantage of two of them by going on a boat cruise and taking a photography course in Central Park. I bought tickets to both of these events through discount websites and had an absolutely terrific time. As soon as I got home from the photography course I began looking up other activities in my wonderful city that I can do without breaking the bank. These are eight offerings that caught my eye:
Annie on Broadway
Spend some time with everyone’s favorite orphan with this offer on Orchestra tickets to see Annie the Musical at the historic Palace Theatre in Times Square. It is the production that Time Out New York said “recharges Broadway like a copper-topped battery of hope,” and Time magazine hailed as “the ultimate feel-good musical.” Annie “The Musical” on Broadway is the Winner of Broadway.com Audience Choice Award for Favorite Musical Revival. I’d say definitely go see Annie. One of the greatest thing about NYC is the shows. Having grown up in NY, I’ve seen Phantom of the Opera like 7 times (no lie!) and I never tire of it. It’s like a right of passage. Also, the chocolate tour looks like a great experience, I may have to do that.
Being a relatively new blogger, I’m always excited to find fellow NYC bloggers! I also started a series dedicated to NYC and surely hope mine is as cool as yours one day. I’m excited to follow along!

NYC has so much to do – I am not sure which to choose – my top picks would probably be the chocolate tour (who can resist chocolate!) or the jewelry class.
