Summer, oh Summer, where art though? It feels quite strange to be writing that on August 25th but in the UK we have had one of the coldest Summers on record – boo! Granted the past few months I have been in the shade more than ever before with Lily but still, I love when I don’t have to consider whether or not I need to bring a jacket when I am heading out. In England it is a long weekend and we are headed to the Cotswolds but despite my hopes, it will be chilly there as well. My one saving grace is that a week from today we will be heading to the States where temperatures will be in the 80’s and 90’s – yay!
My Mom took the photos of this sky stripes dress when I was in Cape Cod last Summer and it seems only fitting that the next time I will wear it will be in New England again. With the buttons this is nursing friendly and I think the combination of a straw hat and straw bag makes it truly a Summer look!

Like my past Fashion Friday looks I paired this outfit with my favorite Summer sandals, Jack Rogers! Honestly, I am shocked that this favorite color combo of Jack Rogers is on sale! They often have the unusual styles on offer or the garish colors but this is the signature whipstitching tracing the contours with round medallion above the strap in Silver/ Silver.
Ehat do you think of this sky stripes dress?

Welcome back home to the USA. Lovely Summer dress and cute sandals. Too bad your summer in the UK was cold. Nice to visit but to live no. Summer to me has to be hot. When I have to think about jacket in Summer I quickly want to be elsewhere. At least its nice and warm here this week. Today’s outfit is my favorite little white summer dress with Silver ankle buckle high heel sandals. Work boyfriend is happy. Hopefully no fall (more like winter) weather till October in NYC.
