Putting together our baby registry has been a very interesting experience. Interesting because it was both very happy and exciting at times and in other moments, incredibly painful and distressing. A year ago Mark and I went and picked out dozens of items for the twins and by the time they were born, many had shown up at our flat which we then needed to return.
With our little girls in heaven it was difficult to go through the process again, especially when I had done so much research the first time and found that some of the items, like the car seat, were the best on the market and even though we did not want things that were the same, we want the best for this baby girl. With that in mind we put together a registry list at John Lewis & Partners – a high-end department stores chain here in the UK – as well as as a Baby Wishlist at Amazon of the essentials.

These are our top eight so far and it feels like once we have these in our flat we will be one big step closer to being ready for our little girl. And we would have had a BabyBjörn bouncer on the list but we were kindly gifted one (including the wooden toy) so all we had to do was get a new cover which we did on our New York trip last month.
