Happy Friday! Now that we are in mid October it is starting to finally feel like Fall here in London! There is something so easy and simple about a shirt dress and this Olive one is a true winner. The fabric is soft, the length is just right, the chest pockets add a utilitarian twist but the tie waist still allows you to show off a feminine shape with the fit and flare cut. And while the website calls it khaki, but I would say the hue is more like olive, don’t you agree? With the green I tried to go for complimentary color wheel hues and took yellow in two different ways – gold jewellery and and cork heels. These shoes got a dedicated blog post last summer, Stuart Weitzman Cork Wedges and they are great – though I must admit, only for short distances because the five inch heel is no joke. And while I am Not usually a big fan of hoop earrings but these wavy hoop earrings from Madewell are a bit different and for only $26 they are worth the buy.
This may not be the first time you have seen this dress though as I shared one of these shots on Instagram and said but the time focused specifically on the lashes. For years false lashes made me nervous but the combination of black lash glue (that dries like black liner) and a bit of practice has changed my outlook – they add such a pop! Take a look at the photos below and let me know what you think of the lashes, especially with this olive shirt dress.
