Can you believe we are already in the last full week of 2019? This is incredible to me, this year has flown by! I had another fun fashion post scheduled for today but bumped it to January because even while this kind of round up is a ton of work to put together I wanted to share my best purchases of 2019 with all of you before the year comes to a close!
Christian Louboutin Pillage Plato 120 in Black Patent Leather – My guess is you have probably come across those memes of how girls are nice to strangers at the bathroom at bars? Well that is exactly what happened at the Louboutin store when a woman buying her 10th pair clued me in to the secret Plato collection – a hidden platform that makes them MUCH more comfortable! How did I wait until year 7 of writing a fashion blog with shoes in the name before buying my first pair of Louboutins? The world may never know but at least we have crossed that hurdle.
and – Now if I told you the only reason I got this was to prove to my boyfriend that the quality of my sleep was better than his (I was right, by the way) may make it seem like a frivolous purchase. However, tracking my sleep over the past three months has been fascinating and I am definitely working on improving it! My only complaint would be that it is now on sale at Amazon for less than $120 which is a much better deal than I got when I purchased it over the Summer!
– I have trouble every year in March when I dig through my closet for something green for St. Patrick’s Day as nothing usually comes to the front. Well for next year I will be all set as bought this dress for my birthday and wore it to my party here in London. It has such a fun hemline that makes twirling a breeze!
() – I had actually purchased and then returned these sunglasses two years ago because I thought they were a bit too much but then after seeing them around all Summer I bit the bullet and bought them again, and I have not regretted it since. You have seen them here!
– I do not know how I held out so long buying these but they are arguably the best things I have ever put on and I do not know if you saw my post earlier this week on Facebook, but I think I need another pair!
And then a few less sexy things but that have also made my year better: (perfect after a hard workout), a (this is a first would problem but England in the Summer doesn’t get dark until 10pm and it is great for red eyes), Adobe Creative Cloud membership (Access to more than 20 apps including Photoshop and InDesign, super helpful for the blog), and the is an absolute show stopped – though be careful, it is not waterproof!
And while I was going to keep this post solely devoted to the things I have purchased for myself I received a few gifts this year that not only would I have bought for myself but also are now in my most-worn so I would be remiss not to include them here.
Just last month the amazing team at Ted Baker gifted me the , which I shared on Instagram last month and you can see below, as well as the adorable Elenni Dream journal and wonderful smelling Carrie Bergamot and cassis scented candle.
You may recall in post This Year’s Birthday Wishlist I explicitly called out wanting an All Saints Leather Jacket but not being quite sure of which style would be best. Well after going to the store here in London I fell in love with theAllSaints Dalby Leather Biker Jacket which my boyfriend got me for my birthday.
What was your best purchase of the year?

Great picks. Those heels are a must. The green dress is a great pick of the year too.

Spanx leather leggings…who would have known. Such a great secret.
I need to get myself a pair for Christmas and maybe I will get them for my sister for her birthday if they really are that great.

Those shoes are a must. I have seen them in a few of your posts and they look marvelous on you.
Glad you are getting to wear them so much.

Such a pretty and feminine dress.
The cut outs combined with the tiered length is really pretty. My favorite.
