Come on Barbie, let’s go Barbie! All pink everything? Head to toe pink? It has always been a thing but now the trend has a name, Barbiecore, and it is all the rage. I have read 20 definitions and none of them are the same but take the best of bubblegum pink, all things girly, and 80’s nostalgia and you’ll have something along the right lines.
Similar to last week’s post on BamaRush, Barbiecore is massively trending on social media – currently has 8.1 million views on TikTok, and began to spike on Google in June on Google trends. Celebs across the globe have been sporting these looks as well as some of my favorite fashion bloggers and influencers. Take a look at some of my favorite outfit inspo shots and then hot pink items:

Yes, it looks great on so many of these ladies but would it work for real life? I think so! Personally, I would start with one bold pink item and then add to the look slowly. While I originally thought I would start with a dress after going down a fashion and shopping rabbit hole I changed my mind. Thus I have pulled some of my favorite dresses, shoes, one piece looks, bags, and swimsuits all in line with the Barbicore trend. Each item is linked under the image and they are a true mix – some are quite pricey ($1,000 designer handbag ) some are affordable, like this $28 high waisted bikini and some i researched a ton to get the best price like the jeweled slingback pumps which are 40% off at Nordstrom Rack.

My girlfriend would look super in the Blair of Atlantic Pacific pink flowing dress.
I can just see her dancing at an upcoming wedding we are going to in this.

I do think that your pink shoe collection in the blog is fantastic.
I especially like the pair that has the pink swirl that would go around my leg and I am sure make me look 4″ taller!

Kelly. Lovely girly pink picks. All of them are a must. Pink is my favorite color. Boyfriend loves it on me. Yesterday for girlfriends summer pool party I wore a pink floral coverup with pink heels. Of course the bikini was pink just to drive boyfriend nuts. He ended up getting muscle relief eventually on my terms. I just forwarded the IRO Lavine Light Pink Jumpsuit to boyfriend so he can buy it for my birthday. I also just bought those high heel thong lace up heels. That will go well with many of my dresses and skirts. For boyfriend birthday near the end of the month he is getting a pink speedo and a pink g-string.
