Welcome to the very first post in my series, Wedding Wednesday! I was going to wait to start until 2022 but I just could not hold back! Searching through previous posts I realized I have mentioned my wedding photographer before but given the rescheduled date, it was more than a year ago! Tonya Malay and her son were the photographers who shot our wedding and last week I received more than 1,500 shots that she and her son took of our big day. I am in love and each time I go through the photos I find a new favorite.
No one needs to see that many photos (even Mark got bored after a while) but I do want to share the highlights here. As so many friends and family members are in the photos I am going to check with them to make sure they are comfortable being shared on the blog so today, it is just me. There are shots that were captured before the first look with my dad, before the ceremony, and at the reception – some posted and some truly candid.
I think in all they give you a great sense of all of the details of my Pronovias wedding dress which was the style Erandi. There were so many details about the dress that I actually went to their website to see how they described the Erandi dress. Some I agree with and some I do not – it certainly is a mermaid style with a V-neck, it does have a crepe fabric (which doesn’t wrinkle, yay!) and beaded French lace. The descriptions that I don’t totally agree with are a “tattoo-effect back” and “semi-illusion bodice” but you can take a look and see for yourself. And because I am so excited and there so many good ones to share I am going to show you the posed bridal portraits today and the candids in another iteration of Wednesday Wednesday:
Mark and I are picking out our favorite photos to frame for our flat though I am not sure a solo portrait is going to make the cut but a few of these are already in the Artifact Uprising wedding album I am making for my Mom!
Which is your favorite shot in my bridal portraits?
