Tuesday Trend: Above the Knuckle Rings

I absolutely love the idea of above the knuckle rings. You have seen from my own jewelry collection, which I posted about here in August of last year, that I love giant, oversize cocktail rings but I have a new love in town – dainty rings. Just to clarify these AKR’s are are small, delicate rings that sit between the top knuckles.  They are cute, stackable and go with any and every look! Here are a few looks for inspiration:

I hope you agree with me, they are so dainty and perfect for spring.  I have only seen a few articles about them but these rings can be found on the pretty fingers of Rachel Roy, Vanessa Hudgens, Rihanna, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.  Here are ten of my favorites:

    I used to do this way back in the mid ’90’s when I was a teen. Everybody thought it was weird. Who knew I was just a visionary ahead of my time…lol!

    I love these rings! I bought some but they were too small [I have ridiculous huge, unladylike knuckles] and kept almost getting stuck. It broke my heart but I had to pass them onto my best friend! struggling to find suitable replacements but I love some of the ones you’ve posted!

    um, yes. kind of love them.

    although, I used to work with a woman who wore a minimum of 15 rings the normal way and then a minimum of 15 AKR. It was so gaudy.

    I’ve definitely been hearing about them, and I’m certainly a fan. I just have to get back to Texas (happening soon, fortunately) to rescue the other half of my jewelry collection from the neglect it’s been facing in my dresser drawers for the past year… After that I’ll be set, since all my dainty rings are there still! (well, excepting a few I got at a F21 sale a while ago…) I love all of these picks, they’re very cute! Favorite is definitely #7.

    I totally agree, I love these types of rings! I have 3 in rose gold that I wear all of the time. I’m hoping to pick up some gold ones soon too. LOVE that heart ring you selected. I think I just added that one to my list too πŸ™‚

    I agree with Ashley. I think they’re too dainty for me. Besides, I can acheive this look by buying a ring that’s too small πŸ˜‰ I wear a size 8 and the cheapy ones you can pick off the displays at Kohls, etc. NEVER fit me. It’s annoying really.
