I do not know if you have noticed but I have a thing for navy stripes! This past weekend I went through my closet trying on everything hung up; dresses, tops, skirts, trousers, jumpsuits, and more. There is no use having things hanging in my closet that are too short or too tight and on the other side, items that are too long or too baggy. More than a dozen items got the axe and are waiting for the charity shops to reopen but today I realized one consistent pattern that surving the cut – navy stripe dresses.
Dresses in this pattern have been one of my favorite for many years and one of the fun things about having a blog that is about to turn eight is it is quite easy to search back across recent years to find examples of things like the number of navy stripe dresses I have worn. Below you will see photos, arranged from newest to oldest, of navy stripe dresses I have worn in England, Belgium, Tanzania, the United States, and Sweden. A truly classic pattern that can be style a number of different ways though I seem to lean towards metallic shoes:
2020 – Navy Stripes at the Museum
2019 – Navy Stripes for a City Break
2018 – She was a Skater Girl
2017 – Touring The Stockholm Royal Palace
2016 – Patriotic in Navy Stripes
2014 – Navy Stripes
The dresses featured above are from a variety of stores and purchased at an array of pricepoints, none of which are still avaliable, I am afriad. But in case you do not have nearly as many navy stripe options in your closet, here are a few dresses you can buy right now that are in this pattern:
1 | BODEN Amelie Stripe Short Sleeve Jersey Dress
2 |Polo Ralph Lauren Stripe Waffle Knit Cotton Blend Dress
3 | AG Alana Maxi Dress in Deep Aegean/Ivory Dust
4 | ELIZA J Stripe Balloon Sleeve Sweater Dress
What do you think of these navy stripe dresses?

Sadly I only have one navy striped dress left. I had 4 last year but 2 of them the cat tore up and the 3rd one wore out after many years and great summer memories. Looking for a new navy stripped dress that shows lots of leg. After all I work those legs enough so I should show them off in warm weather.
