I love travel and there is something about a beach vacation that just hits reset for me. Usually when I head down to Florida it is a chance to spend quality time with my family, soak up the sun, and exercise outside. This past week has been all three of these things but also a few new things as my boyfriend came on vacation with me. We went up to Orlando for a few days and went to Harry Potter World at Universal, went jet skiing with dolphins, and went to a Yankees Spring Training baseball game. Full posts will be coming but here are some of my favorite snaps from the past nine days.
JET SKIING | Sometimes experiences matter more than things and when I was trying to figure out what to get Mark for Christmas I had a great idea to book a dolphin tour for our holiday in Florida. The morning came around and it was oh so chilly but we got to the beach with wetsuits and rash guards in hand and had the BEST time. In one back bay just South of Ft. Myers
UNIVERSAL STUDIOS | When my boyfriend first mentioned he was interested in a trip to Orlando during our Florida visit I laughed. But when I realized he was serious we planned a two day trip up to Universal Studios and it was actually far more fun than I thought going with four adults and no kids. The Harry Potter World at Universal is exceptionally well done and we spent two days going between the parks, riding more coasters than I could count, and taking it all in.
SPRING TRAINING | On Saturday we drove half an hour North to Jet Blue Park which is affectionately known as Fenway Park South. I saw affectionately but that is only for Boston fans like my Nana, hi Nana. As a born and bread New Yorker, I hate the Sox, I wore my Yankee hat in protest. But moving on, this stadium is where the Boston Red Sox do their Spring Training and we were able to watch them loose to the Yankees in a great game (LGY!)
FITNESS | Besides watching sports we also did quite a bit of fitness while in Florida – we hit the gym a number of times, did a spin class, hit golf balls on the driving range and played tennis twice. I love the ability to exercise outside (and yes, I did get in a swim too) and cannot wait for it to get warm again in England!
And to end it with some fun assorted shots form the week:
I am going to do a few more dedicated posts about our trip to Florida, especially one about our visit to Harry Potter World but if there is anything else I mentioned that you are interested in hearing more about, please do let me know!

I’ve always wanted to go to JetSki in but didn’t know if it’s too scary. How fast do you go? Do you think you usually see dolphins? I’m headed to Florida in March so I’m really interested in your take on that.
If I do it I sure hope that I see dolphins. Also if I do it any tips that you would suggest to make the trip more enjoyable. I’m not sure why am being so scared but I really am.

I once was a Yankee fan but only because my brother played for them. Go Red Sox!

Not sure if the tennis or the baseball photo is my favorite and the one with the sunset in the background is pretty darn cute too.
What a fun vacation you had and you two really make an adorable couple!

Looks like you had a lot of fun with family and boyfriend in Florida. My boyfriend has never been to Disney and he wants to go on Space Mountaim. I love the pool picture of you in a leopard one piece. I am going to South Beach with boyfriend next week. I have a leopard bikini ready for him.

I can’t believe how close you got to those dolphins. And that you got the tail fluke in one. Ever time I try to take dolphin photos I only get blurry dots.
Looks like you had a wonderful time in sunny Florida!
