Guten Morgen! We are back from our adventures (and by back I mean in London, New York, and Naples respectively) and had a phenomenal family trip the past week in Central and Eastern Europe. If you have been following along on Instagram you will have seen the highlights On my journey home yesterday I did a rough layout and you will be getting 11 posts from the four cities we visited over the course of the last week.
Until those posts are ready – I think the Sound of Music Bike Tour in Salzburg will be first – I wanted to share some of my favourite snaps from our vacation to Budapest, Bratislava, Vienna, and Salzburg. Two of these cities I had been to before, Budapest and Vienna on my solo trip in 2015, and two were brand new to me but all were special in there own way. For today’s recap to make it easier for you all to follow, I will put the photos in chronological order (even though aesthetically, I would usually mix them up) from our family Eurotrip:
Outside at the main pool at the Széchenyi Thermal Baths (Budapest Hungary)
Fisherman’s Bastion at Twilight (Budapest, Hungary)
With my brother at the Hungarian Parliament (Budapest, Hungary)
Sunset at the Shoes on the Danube Bank Memorial (Budapest, Hungary)
At the main pool of the Géllert Thermal Bath (Budapest, Hungary)
The Hungarian Parliament at Night via Boat Cruise (Budapest, Hungary)
Shooting at the Széchenyi Chain Bridge (Budapest, Hungary)
The Bratislava Hrad Castle at Dusk (Bratislava, Slovakia)
Grand Staircase of the Bratislava Castle (Bratislava, Slovakia)
On the Bratislava Iron Curtain Bike Tour to the Slovakia / Austrian Border (Bratislava, Slovakia)
Family Shot in front of the Schonbrunn Palace in Vienna (Vienna, Austria)
Twirling in the Schonbrunn Palace Gardens (Vienna, Austria)
Family Photo by Nonnberg Abbey, the Sound of Music Convent (Salzburg, Austria)
Back of Schloss Leopoldskron, the palace used for filming the Von Trapp House (Salzburg, Austria)
Sound of Music Pavillon / Gazebo at Hellbrunn Castle (Salzburg, Austria)
Entrance of the Salzbergwerk Berchtesgaden Salt Mine (B, Germany – just outside of Salzburg)
As you can see, we certainly got up to quite a lot in our nine day adventure which actually amounted to visits to four countries and countless miles walked and biked to explore all of the sites! Which of the trips from our family Eurotrip are you excited to read more about?

Touring a salt mine? Sounds really interesting and never knew that you could tour one, how fun.
Great photos of your family trip as well. I have never been to anyone of those countries and will be interested to read about your blog posts on them. Very pretty spots from the quickie views you highlighted. Fun, fun.

You look stunning as always. How do you travel and still look so good?
The Sound of Music is one of my favorite movies. I would have loved to seeing the gazebo in real life. I want to go to Salzburg and take the whole tour. Any tips you have on visiting there would be much appreciated.

Everyone seems to be headed to Budapest these days. Now I know why it is so popular. The way they light up the city at night and the architecture is stunning.
Never mind those spas after a long day of travel or touring.
Icing on the cake!
