Tegallalang Rice Terraces (source)
After much thought I have decided my first solo trip of 2019 is going to be to Bali! I will be heading there over Easter for two weeks and am looking for the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation. I have asked a few friends who gave recommendations but as my Sparkles and Shoes family always has such good ideas I wanted to ask you all too! So far on my list are the tiered rice terraces in Ubud, shown above, along with a dozen other spots that I have illustrated with some of the best Instagram shots I have found of each place with the sources flagged!

If you have been to Bali or know someone who has been please let me know any must see spots or in particular, any places for eating and shopping as recommendations in those areas are limited! Please let me know what I should add!

I was on a scuba diving trip at the Great Barrier Reef last year and many people on the boat were talking about the fantastic scuba diving in Bali.
From these photos they sure were right. Let me know if it is worth the very long plane ride.

Wow – that looks amazing Kelly. I can only think of one thing to add – and that’s me if I can fit in your suitcase! Hopefully I will get there one day as well. I look forward to seeing your adventure through your photos!
