Hello everyone! As you may have noticed I have been travelling like crazy lately and just wanted to give you an update! Last week I was in Germany for work and then flew straight to Ireland to spend 48 hours with friends for St. Patrick’s Day. I learned that you need to call it “St. Paddy’s Day” to fit in with the locals and we had a great time! Now I am back in London, but only for a day and a half before I jet set off to Germany again for work. It’s go, go, go. And sadly, that has meant not enough time for Sparkles and Shoes though I have some great ideas on deck.
However, until then I wanted to give you all a little life update. I have done this once before and you all thought it was a fun way to catch you up on my life so here we go again:
Making: A list of items of the things I need at the grocery store when I actually have time to go this weekend!
Cooking: Not a lot. I am thinking about going back to Hello Fresh though if my schedule calms down!
Drinking: A ton of espresso with oat milk now that I learned how to use the machine at the office.
Reading: The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah.
Wanting: For time to speed up and to be headed to Bali!
Looking: A long gown as I just realized the event I am going to Saturday night is black tie!!
Playing: The games Bricks n Balls (the #3 game in the App Store)
Wasting: Less plastic bags as I just bought reusable ziplocks during a Black Friday sale.
Wishing: There was Target and Sephora here in the U.K., I miss both of them!
Enjoying: How many of my friends come to visit England!
Waiting: For enough time to edit the rest of my Morocco, Scotland, and recent Romanian pictures!
Wondering: What we ever did before Spotify premium.
Loving: That I still can use my college ID for student discounts.
Marvelling: That before May I had never been to Germany and now today I am going for my 16th time!
Smelling: The last of my delicious holiday vanilla candle!
Wearing: A ton of dresses with tights and booties, but Spring, please hurry up!
Following: Not as many blogs as I used to and that makes me sad.
Listening: To Kiss and Make Up by Dua Lupia, I put it on my swim MP3 player over the weekend and it is the best cardio song!
Noticing: That tax season is different in every country!
Thinking: I have laundry to do.
Bookmarking: Long weekend getaway destinations, there are so many around England!
Needing: To plan my 10th annual classy cocktail party next weekend!
Opening: A new package of my favorite press on nails, should I do another post?
So there you have it, a quick life update in not so many words. What is new in your world?
Emma says
What does oat milk taste like and why are you using it instead of regular milk?
Those press on nails that you turned me on to are fabulous. So easy and quick to put on. Now if they could only make toe nails. Can you make that happen?
Emily says
Hello Fresh has been saving me. I was spending so much money on eating out as I never seemed to have the time to go to the grocery store and get everything I needed and If I did I ended up throwing out half of it anyways so I wasn’t really saving any money.
The proportions are perfect and I am eating a bit healthier.
I have also been listening to more books on tape on my way to work or while doing laundry so that I can try to stay current with what my book club and friends are reading.
Susan says
I am trying to plan my next vacation, finish a book I started a Long time ago and trying to use my time better and then maybe I can finish that book.
Sometimes I just can’t believe how the day gets away from me and I really have not accomplished what I wanted to get done.
