This week is already off to a great start after one of the best Monday’s I’ve had in ages! I promise to share more about that later but today I want to talk about something different. I was digging through my computer over the weekend trying to make room for the thousands of Galapagos pictures and hundreds of videos and I stumbled on quite a few I have never posted including these shots from January of this oxblood weekender bag for under $100!
I always wonder when I recommend a product or a service how many people who read Sparkles and Shoes actually buy it, use it, or make something but thanks to analytics and social media tracking the answer is quite a few of you and that makes me thrilled! (Never mind those who take the recommendation offline) But that definitely does not stop with only apply to you all – I read dozens of blogs and if I see an item as a repeat must-have across my many of my favorite bloggers there is a high probability I will buy it – influencer marketing at it’s finest. For instance, after Wendy of Wendy’s Lookbook wrote this adorable post in NovemberI decide to buy the same weekender bag in an oxblood shade, one of my favorites.
At the end of last year I took quite a few trips to the West Coast and while I was obsessed with my Away suitcase for only one or two nights I realized I did not even need that, just well structured weekend bag so when one of my past style icons (I featured her incredible wardrobe in August 2013) recommended one for under $100 I could not pass it up.
Both Wendy’s bag and mine are from Sole Society and while there is this bag called the Cassidy which they classify as a weekender but I decided to go a size up to the oversized vegan leather weekender bag called the Lacie which definitely fits enough for a long weekend – you can actually see the indentation in mine – I have it filled to the brim!
And I know this is off topic but it is definitely worth noting that usually, unless I tell you, or the background is seasonal it is hard to me to date pictures but I can tell even from the two months ago when these were taken, I have been crushing my fitness goals! 🙂
Do you have a weekender bag?

The best part about this bag is that it’s not black, yet I feel it would go with any (traveling) outfit!
