Red Lace Dress for Valentine's Day

Happy, Happy Valentine’s Day. My day will definitely not follow the norm of the holiday – a workout class, a full day at the office, and then a NYFW party, but for those celebrating, happy vday! I was really tempted to buy myself something from my Valentine’s Day Gift Guide, however, I was able to resist. However, I have of the mind that if you really, really like something buy two.

My family had this motto growing up and I have adopted it in my real life so when I saw this long sleeve lace dress from one of my favorite designers at a clearance store I bought a red and a black version. The black one I wore in my family’s Christmas card and the red one I wore to a holiday party in December, to a friend’s birthday on Saturday night, and as seen above to a fancy dinner with my parents a few weeks back. For the work party I styled this red lace dress with black tights and black heeled booties but Florida was a different story – nude pumps and bold accessories were the way to go.

And as I know someone will ask, no, I am not this tan right now. These photos were taken last month when I was home in Florida for Christmas but with my next vacation coming up in a few weeks I hope I will get back to this bronze shade quite soon – that or some St. Tropez to do the trick because boy is this a dark month!
