I live exactly one mile from Central Park and I must admit, I do not go nearly enough. I was inspired though, after seeing posts from Kier Couture and Gal Meets Glam and their NYFW outfit shots in Central Park, I decided to head over for my latest photo shoot.
Yesterday was 45 degrees here in New York City and you would have thought it was the middle of July with the amount of people walking through the park and the number of runners in shorts. I was so excited to need sunglasses and not have to wear a down jacket that I pretty much joined in the fun. I took off my fur windbreaker for these photos and comfortably walked around in my oxblood pullover for 45-minutes without a jacket, maybe Spring really is coming! My friend Samantha and I wandered around taking pictures at the Alice in Wonderland statue, The Boathouse, Bow Bridge, Bethesda Terrace and Fountain, and Poet’s Walk.
While taking these photos my friend Samantha commented how strawberry blonde my hair was looking – I laughed about it but in these photos it is really true! I will being doing a post in the next few weeks about how this change has occurred, all without one trip to the salon or box of hair dye!
And on our way out of the park we stopped by the Tatiana Trouvé exhibit called ‘Desire Lines’ on the Southeast entrance of the park (59th Street and 5th Avenue). The Italian artist created a mixed media to visually represent the miles and miles walking paths through the park. She created 212 spools, one to represent each pat, and they are wound with rainbow twine ranging from 60 feet to four miles long, the length of each path. The display will be up through August 30th and you can read more about it here.
