Hello and welcome back to another Fashion Friday! While I love my custom eShakti dress and this great one from rag & bone, the third installment of Fashion Friday is extra special because for the first time I worked with a professional photographer for a Sparkles and Shoes outfit post! My mom and various friends have done a great job over the past four and a half years but I decided now that it is 2017 I should take the plunge and take it up a notch.
Dressing for January weather is so tricky for me because places: restaurants, my office, the subway, you name it, have the heat on full blast but outside it is near freezing. To combat this I love a good dress and tights combo with an oversized and super warm jacket for outside along with great touch screen gloves (thanks Memé)! But back to the photos, on an absolutely freezing afternoon early this month I met Vic Casiano (@shotbycasiano) at the South Street Seaport. If you don’t believe me, take a look at the ice on the ground.

Jacket | Calvin Klein Hooded Puffer Coat Dress | Gap White Stripe Shift Dress
Tights | HUE Sheer to Waist Opaque Tights Booties | French Connection ‘Ronan’ Bootie (on clearance!)

And one last shot for the heck of it – an absolutely freezing day on the pier.

How do you dress for freezing temperatures?
Do you own a hooded puffer coat?

Winter fashion is simple for me. For normal day to day activities its jeans, sneakers, long sleeve shirt. For going out its a dress, long jacket something like yours, and high heel booties or boots. If its warm enough over 40F depending upon the event & how long I am outside I might even wear a sandal.
As for your long puffy Jacket, I love it. Your dress is styling and I like your silver metallic booties.

Love the jacket and it doesn’t look too puffy like a lot of them do. Is it warm?
I add a huge scarf and some warm mittens and my bunny fur ear muffs to keep warm on those super chilly days!
