December 21st, hello, how are you? For the first time in my working life I will be in the office this week leading up to Christmas, heading down to see my family Wednesday evening, and that means a shortened week of blogging but I promise to make it count. I usually wait until January to post about the Pantone Color of the Year (2013: Emerald, 2014: Radiant Orchid, 2015: Marsala) but as the company decided to one-up themselves this year and announce two colors I will feature one today, and one in January. First up, rose quartz.
I would definite this as your classic Spring pink – not quite a pastel but definitely in the pale to blush pink realm. But take it from the Pantone people directly, PANTONE 13-1520 Rose Quartz is,”a persuasive yet gentle tone that conveys compassion and a sense of composure. Like a serene sunset, flushed cheek or budding flower, Rose Quartz reminds us to reflect on our surroundings during the busy but lighthearted spring and summer months.” Still not cutting it?
