A Wonderful Wedding Weekend

This weekend I checked something off of my life bucket list – stand up next to a friend on their wedding day.  For the first time I put on a bridesmaid dress and Saturday was honored to be in Mary’s bridal party especially since we have been friends since I was in seventh grade. We have come a long way since the varsity swim team in middle school – we made it through our all-girls high school, then both attended Georgetown and competed there and now both live on the Upper East Side and remain friends in New York City.

 It was a beautiful wedding on a lovely Fall day and believe it or not, I do not have too many photos to show for it.  I was all over Snapchat from our 6am wakeup until about 12:30pm when it was go time.  In between the ceremony and the cocktail hour we took hundreds of photos with the wedding party and I will be sure to share those when they are available from the photographer but until then please enjoy a handful of photos from the day, most of which I took but a few of which are from other bridesmaids or close friends (especially the ones I am in). 

After the rehearsal dinner Friday night, wedding fun all day Saturday, and a beautiful brunch on Sunday morning it was time to head back in to Manhattan.  I am thankful the timing worked out with wedding weekend that I was able to see three of my friends run in the New York City marathon and then met them out for drinks and dinner afterwards.  Sure, we all swam together in college so I knew they could do it but it was incredible to see these athletes switch sports and complete 26.2 miles – congratulations Mal, Wes, and Ali! 

It was an incredible wedding weekend and now here we go into what is promising to be an especially busy week!
