I want to take you inside a New York Fashion Week show today and I hope you enjoy the ride! Unlike thousands of girls who flock to the city every February and October being a native New Yorker, fashion week is not the only thing on my mind during this week. For example, Friday night I went to the new Cirque du Soleil show called Toruk – The First Flight, Saturday afternoon went to the Koybe show, pictured here, then caught up with a few friends and on Sunday went to a bridal shower and tried to get back to the city in time for another show at Chelsea Piers. I think you get the picture, I am constantly on the go.
Fresh from my morning workout on Saturday I showered, did my hair, and hoped in a cab from my Upper East Side apartment down to Skylight at Moynihan Station, an event venue only one block over from Penn Station and the world famous Madison Square Garden. Even though it was Saturday there was still traffic which is why I am glad I allowed for extra time and only had to wait a few minutes in the 90 degree heat with the other ticketed showgoers before being let in.
It was an excellent show with Ice-T and Coco in the front row but an half hour cab ride, an hour of waiting to get in, forty minutes in my seat, and then a twenty minute show left my in dire need of the restroom. The interesting thing about Skylight at Moynihan Station is that it is an empty concrete, almost warehouse like space that they transformed into the hub of fashion week. But what does that matter? Porta potties. Yes, probably the fanciest porta potties you HAVE ever scene but portable restrooms none the less.
This year was no exception that even in line for the restroom you will encounter some of the prettiest people you have ever seen and this year I attended the shows with a secret weapon in my bag, theCottonelle® with CleanRipple® Texture. Before heading out the door I packed this recent addition to help keep me looking as fresh as possible during one of my biggest fashion moments! This line has traditional toilet paper but I brought the Cottonelle® flushable cleansing cloths, designed to be used on your bum only, which leave you so clean I felt almost bold and confident enough to go commando, even in white! Take a look what was inside my bag:
But seriously, Cottonelle® with CleanRipple® Texture is designed to clean better, so you’re clean & confident enough to go commando. When I came out of the bathroom in addition to being much more comfortable I was so excited to see the E! Network filming Fashion Police. I do not watch the show regularly but the faces were instantly recognizable – Giuliana Rancic, special guest Tim Gunn, Melissa Rivers, Brad Goreski (who waved at me), and NeNe Leakes. So many amazing fashion heavyweights only a few feet from me and can we talk about that Nene side eye?
And speaking of Guiliana Rancic – it just so happens that Cottonelle® has been kind enough to give one of my readers a chance to win Guiliana Rancic’s Cottonelle® Fashion Must Haves Kit ($50 ARV) which include the Cottonelle® Flushable Cleansing Cloths with CleanRipple® Texture, silicone cover-ups, breath spray, eye lashes and hydrating face treatment.
Good luck with the giveaway!

I bet it is a different experience being a New Yorker! I would imagine it does take away some of the mystery and magic of Fashion Week. But, it looks like you still manage to have a fun time! Love Tim Gunn!!
