Only three days til Christmas, eek! As my long list of New York holiday parties dwindles down I have noticed a few things, I wear a lot of black (and so do my friends), I will never like the taste of gin, and sometimes simple appetizers are the best. I have become very wary of unidentifiable passed trays or unlabeled plates at parties – if you pick up the appetizer, take a bite, and don’t like it then you are left in an awkward spot, especially if you are mid conversation.
My solution to this very first-world problem is appetizers where you can see all of the ingredients. Bree and crackers, grapes, or pita chips and hummus are all great no-fuss appetizers that people can automatically determine if will like it. One of my favorite easy appetizers that fits into this category is Prosciutto and melon.
Seriously that is is it – melon wrapped in very thinly sliced prosciutto. This does not count as a recipe because it is honestly too simple but I can promise you, it is a definite crowd pleaser. Each time I make it I buy festive skewers, for my last cocktail party bamboo picks, making it an easy and mess free snack for guests to enjoy!
What is your favorite easy go-to appetizer?

I adore these flavors together. You can’t really go wrong with this appetizer! My favorite easy one is so simple and people love it… it’s just cream cheese, cheddar cheese, jalapenos mixed together, sprinkled with bread crumbs and parmesan and baked in the oven for about 20 mins. Serve with bread, crackers, or chips. It’s delish!
Happy Holidays to you!
