Emerald for a Black Tie Wedding Reception

On Tuesday I did an outfit post about the adorable Banana Republic Fit-and-Flare dress I wore to my friend’s wedding this past weekend.  After the ceremony my friends and I headed back to the hotel to change into our formal attire for the reception.  I really appreciated all of your comments on this post when I was trying to decide what to wear – I did not go with a Rent the Runway but instead I found a dress on sale at a local shop. I have never actually worn emerald green before but after the compliments I received, I might have to change my view on that.

My friend Lindsay took a few photos of me by the stunning marina before we all got our things together and jumped in an Uber to head to the Ringling Museum.  Despite the fact that my grandparents have lived in Sarasota, Florida for a number of years I had never been to the museum before and with the wedding in the central courtyard I got a beautiful look at the grounds, the works of art, the statues, and the picturesque setting.
