My week is off to a crazy busy start and while I have taken a step back from social media I am still going to bring you a handful of new posts this week! It has been months since I wrote about a fashion trend that I was on the fence about but now I am back with one o f the biggest ones of Summer 2021. A few years ago overalls were something I only saw on kids and then a few years ago adult overalls started making an appearance. They started gaining popularity at music festivals like Coachella and even with a year of COVID, they are still trending. They also apparently now go by quite a few more names including romperalls or dungarees.
Which then brings me to the title of today’s post – I am really not sure how I feel about adult overalls. I do love a romper but there is something about the feeling of being stuck in a pair of these. And besides the actual style my other qualm is about how they look – some people look so cute in them. Here are few ladies I think who can pull them off but I have seen equally as many look dumpy or not at all attractive. Here are some of the former:

If I was to wear any of these my favorite would probably be Brighton’s but sadly they are sold out! Thus I have rounded up some of the top sellers this season, both versions that are shorts and some that are long legs. Take a look:

I’m just visiting a friend in New York City and I seem to be noticing overalls everywhere. I don’t know if it’s just the new trend or after reading your blog post I’ve noticed some more. For some people they look really cute and others they look dumpy.

Kate Blue in Denim Overalls are my favoirite by far.
Some of the others look a bit frumpy to me.

This reminds me of a farmer look. Perfect for the farm or bringing crops to the local farmers market.

Not a big fan of the long pant ones.
If you have the right figure and are young, I think one can pull off the ones that are shorts length. To me it would also make a big difference where you are wearing them. In the right setting they could be perfect.
I am going to show these to my boyfriend and see if he thinks I should order them???
