Black and White

As you saw in Tuesday’s post I spent my Labor Day weekend in New Hampshire with my family.  While our two days on the lake were incredibly fun the real highlight of the weekend was the reason I headed up to the Granite State, to celebrate my grandfather’s 80th birthday.  I knew I wanted to wear a cute dress to his party but one that packed well and that would not be too dressy for the occasion.  I think this black and white paintbrush-print number was perfect for the occasion and I took my new curling wand for another spin! 

My entire mom’s side of the family flew in for the big occasion with the exception of my cousin Kelsey who just bought a house. As I mentioned on Instagram the last time we had all gotten together in NH was 2010, but this year has been extra special because the whole group attended my eldest cousin Shannon’s wedding in May in Nashville.  Here are a few of my favorite photos from the wonderful evening! 

To my family, first, thanks for reading my blog everyday, and second, let’s not wait four years for another reunion.  

I do have to say though, while last weekend was a blast I am sure this one is going to be stiff competition. I am going to miss the Reward Style party (have so much fun without me) as Lindsay from the bachelorette party in Washington two weeks ago is getting married in Pennsylvania and then I am going to hurry back to the city for Vivienne Tam’s show at Lincoln Center Sunday night – make sure you stay tuned on Instagram.
