Black and Gold for Fashion Week

Yesterday was  a bit hectic to say the least – hurrying back from the Pennsylvania wedding, dropping everything, changing, and running out the door again what felt like ten minutes later to cab it to Lincoln Center for Vivienne Tam’s S/S 2015 show.  After I had the chance to meet the designer and interview her at her Soho store in July I was thrilled to be able to attend and I had planned ahead with a great Rent the Runway dress that stood out in all the right ways. 

Surprisingly, I made it “under the tents” with time to spare so I was able to take advantage of some of the booths brands had set up including a no-joke seven minute manicure from Samsung and Swarovski before the show.  Then I  headed in and had a chance to get comfortable before the show started.  

I took  dozens photos on my phone but really none of them do the clothes justice so here are a few of my favorite looks taken by the professional photographers camped out at the end of the runway. While thirty-eight designs sauntered down the runway I watched while while was sitting across from celebs like Carmen Electra and Countess LuAnn taking in the beautiful and here is a great video I found of the finale: 

After the show I picked up a greeting card from the Papyrus booth, took a series of photo booth shots with my friend Nellie, picked out a gold temporary tattoo from Pandora, and got two blue print juices on my way out the door. 

 

After a great wedding, which I will definitely recap later this week,
the Vivienne Tam Spring 2015 show was a wonderful way to end my weekend!
