Sparkles and Shoes 2nd Birthday Photoshoot - 3

As you may have read in this letter or seen on social media, Sparkles and Shoes is now two! August 2nd is quickly becoming one of my favorite days of the year and Saturday I threw a birthday party at my new apartment for my blog.  It was a wonderful evening that started off with a bunch of fun photos taken by the amazing David, Mr. Runway Chef:

Let me tell you, getting a dozen balloons and a two foot number “2” from a downtown Party City to an uptown apartment is quite a challenge (thank goodness for Uber) and then after a fight with my ceiling fan a good number of balloons still made it to the roof.  We were able to catch the last few minuets of the sunlight for these photos and I am thrilled with how they turned out.    Alyssa, Dave, and I then had the chance to relax, sip champagne, cool off in the air conditioner, and get ready for the rest of the guests.  They are just about the cutest married couple ever and I am so glad we met through blogging.  With the potential for more than 20 people in my studio apartment I tried to keep the decorations to a minimum and was very excited to try out my Funfetti dip, which was a big hit!

    I totally want to have an anniversary party for my blog, too! It looks like fun and congratulations!

    I would gift the pearls to my grandma and have her get dressed up, and take her out for dinner!
