Really Love My … North Face Rain Jacket

Rain Rain Go Away Come Back … NEVER. 

I hate the rain – light rain, heavy rain, raining cats and dogs, misting – basically I hate every type of rain. But besides choosing to not live in Seattle, there is nothing I can do about the weather, so my solution was to get a rain jacket in a beautiful, bright color. I searched high and low for a rain jacket that would make me happy when I put it on for dark and dreary days. My final pick was this turquoise blue jacket from the North Face that has an amazing waterproof soft shell with leak-proof seams.  Five years later and I am still perfectly dry!  And while this jacket is more than I would ever need as I do not hike, will not be wearing it with a “pack” or a harness, and will not be weathering tough terrain I am glad that this cute options can handle those conditions.

As April is the rainiest month of the year in New York I am sure I will be keeping this jacket in frequent rotation over the next few weeks.   I racked my library to find photos of me in this rain jacket, but the thing is – I try not to take photos in the rain! Haha. Over the course of five years of having this jacket I only found three photos: one in Washington, D.C., one at Niagara Falls, and one from the beautiful Villa D’Este in Tivoli, Province of Rome, Italy.

Hopefully these April showers will soon give way to May flowers!

    Aw I used to have one and I left in my classroom one day and when I went back for it, it was gone 🙁 This makes me miss it! All though mine wasn’t a fun color, it was just black!

    Oh, all the color options are so pretty! I actually don’t even own a rain jacket–maybe that means it won’t rain much this spring? 😉
