Happy Birthday Henry James

The last update, here we go!  Another month, like his 11 month, another blurry monthly shot as we can’t get him to stay still!  Here we go with Henry’s 12 month update:

Nicknames: Big Boy, Little Man, Chunky Monkey, Big Guy (mark only), Papito (Isa only) and Henry James.

Firsts:

• Christmas! While his favorite part was arguably eating the wrapping paper the giggles were not stop and made the holiday so much more enjoyable for everyone!
• Trip to Englan – he got to meet his grandpa (Mark’s step dad), his Aunt Mel, and his three cousins all of whom were utterly smitted with him.
• Ear infection – not a fun one.
• Since he was cut off from “Mommy milk” at the end of November he’s been having HiiP Organic formula (which we have physically improted from the UK) but the last week or tow we have started to introduce cows milk which I am happy to report is going well.

Weight: Still a champion eater and still likely around 20lbs but we will find out for sure at his one year appointment next week.

Length:  Like the weight, I am really not sure but when he pulls up to stand it is nuts that it is not that different from Lily!

Teeth: Nine now – the middle four on the top and bottom and his first molar with a second threatening to pop through.

Loves:

• We blew up a few of your birthday balloons early to test them out and you love them
• While I don’t get the chance to go the pictures and videos show just how much you adore music class with your ‘EE-EE” at the library and as well three trips to the play gym per week.
• Not as much Henry but Mark and I love Mori Baby clothes for Henry too – wearing the Gruffalo trousers on the mat above (the 9-12m shirt is already too small), he still wears one of Lily’s Mori sleep sacks from London, and his winter coat is a baby dino to match his big sister!

Hates: . When you leave him alone and he starts speed crawling towards

Moments to Remember:

• Got his own big boy Pottery Barn chair for Christmas – while Lily’s first one was a unicorn we clearly had to get Henry a little brown bear with his name on it.
• The little jingle I made up “Henry Rollinson, do-do, do-do-do” that I mentioned in the 10 month post?  Well now Lily sings it to him but has adapted it “Henry Rollinson, do-do-do”  and it is just too cute.
• Just how much Lily loves pushing you in the Doona and is always so quick to let us know when you are crying or she thinks you need something.
• We brought the Pottery Barn Kids Paxton Swivel Glider Recliner from the living room up to your room and I am so glad we did.  (Looking back I can’t believe I have not mentioned in since your two month update as it is such a favorite.

Like Lily girl this is your last monthly update but I am sure I will be sharing tons of pictures of you in the weeks and months to come. Friends and family, did I miss anything in this 12 month update?
