Time – SLOW DOWN! How is it March already? The beginning of the year typically feels like it drags but this year is the opposite. The nights are long but the weeks are short and I no longer have a newborn. (According to the books I have read the newborn stage is only 8 weeks and now we are nearing nine!) A few things have changed since Henry’s first monthly update but many – like nicknames and his favorite things, have remained the same. I am also happy to report Lily is warming up to him more!
___
Nicknames: Baby Bear, Big Boy, Little Man, Baby Henry
Firsts: We moved earlier this month from New York City to the suburbs and in our new house Henry is now Stokke Tripp Trapp Newborn Set when we eat and loves it. The BabyBjörn Bouncer on the other hand was not as big of a hit but I am sure he will warm up to it. The highlight was likely meeting his grandma from England and it was 10 days of bliss and SO much attention! He also rolled over for the first time – my clever boy!
Weight: 8lbs 12oz, such a big jump from his birth weight and the pediatrician says he is doing a great job – yay!
Length: 20.5 inches. As the doctor told me on Monday, this one is super tricky as it depends how much they scrunch and how much the providers streetches them but again, the doctor was happy so I am happy.
Teeth: Henry has 0 teeth.
Loves: Eating, being cuddled, playing with his hands and daytime naps in his Dockatot. Plus like Lily he loves being carried over people’s left shoulder and seeing the world.
Hates: Waking up hungry, being changed (especially being cold) and when we try to swaddle him though this is getting better. Overall we are lucky and he is a happy baby.
We called Lily squishy when she was born (and still do) so it doesn’t seem apt to call Henry the same thing but that’s the first word that comes to mind when I look at the photo below. In addition to monthly a photo on his baby bear mat we are also taking a picture of him in this Pottery Barn Kids Paxton Swivel Glider Recliner to see how he grows!
And there you have it, your update on two months of Henry!
