Happy Valentine’s Day! It has been a while since I have posted in my love life series so today felt like the perfect day to reprise it. This is my sixth Valentine’s Day with Mark as we started dating in March 2020 and my first thought is six down, forever to go. In our Florida wedding the priest described Mark as my rock and he truly is. I wrote something overly sappy in his card (and then kept the card from the kids simple, with Lily coloring) but there are number of things I googled that I could have written. Some of my top picks that I determined were too cliche include
Love you, appreciate you, and you’re my favorite.
I love you not just today but every day, in every way.
Thank you for being the reason I look forward to every day.
You make my world brighter, my heart lighter, and my life sweeter.
You’re a great husband, and I love sharing this adventure with you.
No matter where life takes us, my heart will always find its way to you.
You’re my happily-ever-after, my forever love and the hero of my heart. I love you.
Today, I celebrate you—the one who fills my heart with love and my life with happiness.
You are my sunshine on the darkest days and my comfort in every storm. I love you endlessly.
We’ve had our ups and downs, and even though the road isn’t always smooth, it always leads us home, back to each other.
We don’t have any plans to celebrate besides exchanging cards – this two under two life is real – but we may get takeout and watch a “film” on Netflix or Prime Video. Wild and crazy, I know. To celebrate in a public way though below you can find a photo from each year of our relationship so far is the best way I could think of showing my love to my forever Valentine.

Mark, I love you to the moon and back. You really are my rock and my favorite person (tied with our kids). You are terrific husband, father, friend, and overall wonderful person. Thank you for being my forever Valentine!
