Our anniversary was yesterday and even though it may not be a milestone anymore I decided we needed to celebrate . I had not realized that our first date was International Women’s Day and last year we were far too busy with the move into our new flat to celebrate properly. We were planning on enjoying some champagne, even though it was a Monday, but as you may have seen on Instagram, we took a wine tasting class on Saturday night. This meant we had a good amount of left over wine and we enjoyed a bit of that with a home cooked meal. At the end of the day, nothing too special or extravagant but it was lovely.
As this whole pandemic kicked off in March 2020 this means we are now at the year mark of COVID restrictions and lockdown. And the past year we probably spent more time together than we ever will. And it went well. To be honest, it went even better than I thought it would. And of course, it was not all sunshine and roses all the time but we really do click. He is the ying to my yang and someone who every day I am grateful that I get to marry this year. He may not like social media (which is why you have seen very little of him here) but he has become a very talented Instagram boyfriend. To take a walk down memory lane I was going to feature a photo from every month but given lockdown – some months we dozens (like our Italy trip) and others, only blurry selfies. So here are some of my favorite photos of Mark and I in the last 12 months, some of which you saw when I featured our engagement photos. Happy Anniversary Mark, let’s take a look at our last lap around the sun:
Happy Anniversary Mark, I love you!

Catching up on your posts and you are too cute.
What a fun idea and I am sure Mark was thrilled.

Happy anniversary to you 2. And to many more.

You look fantastic in that little black dress.
His smile confirms that he agrees.

I remember you saying he does not read the blog regularly (shame on him!), you should make sure he reads this post though, awww.
The little chocolate cake on Instagram was really cute too.

As I follow you religiously on Instagram I’ve seen a lot of these photos but not all of them. You two really do make a cute couple and you can see Much in Love you are with each other. So glad you found each other. Happy anniversary.
Emily says
What a cute post. It must’ve been a fun walk down memory lane going through all the special places you have visited. Congratulations.
