The vast majority of my belongings are somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean. Well not specifically in the ocean but in a container on a ship. Movers packed everything up March 20th and at this point it looks like it will be another month until all of our items arrive and boy – I miss my closet! I packed two suitcases worth of clothes, shoes, and accessories to have in the interim and it is essentially an unplanned version of styling a capsule wardrobe. What I have come to realize is while I like the idea of a capsule wardrobe it is really not for me, I think the same as a tiny home – cool idea, but not for me.
One of the things as I flip through my dozen hangers in my new walk-in closest I keep looking fro dresses that aren’t there. In addition to many of the items I have featured in my I Really Love My … series I have always been partial to dresses, especially those in a blue hue. From light to dark there are at least 25 I have featured on Sparkles and Shoes over the past decade. I have included a round up below ranging from light to dark.
Jeez, that was a lot of dresses, wasn’t it? And those are only ones that have been on Sparkles & Shoes! To be completely candid though, not all of these are on the container in the ocean. Some were donated when I moved from NYC to London in 2018 and others were donated last month as I planned my return to America. In this recap I almost included rompers but I figured you got the idea from the ombre rainbow above.
Taking a look most of these blue dresses are available but the brands – Asos, BB Dakota, Boohoo, Eliza J, Hobbs, Hill House, Kate Spade, Lulus, Max & Co., Oasis, Ralph Lauren, Tangier, Wayf, and Zara – have some great options from the latest season.
How do you feel about blue dresses?

Very lovely. Love all of those blue dresses you modeled for all of us. Wow. You have a lot of stuff. I didn’t know that it takes 2 months to move your stuff across the Atlantic. Hopefully you bought a few dresses across in your bags instead of cargo. I am sure all those stylish clothes and Shoes will arrive just before the real Summer in NY starts. Still got time on your side for now. Remember Summer Style is much more important than Winter Style and much more fun. Don’t forget summer shoe style too.
