Sequin Tanks

While scouring Google analytics and blogger statistics to revamp my popular page (which is now live) I found a post I wrote back in November of 2012 called Thursday Trend: Sequin Tank.  In the infancy of Sparkles and Shoes I had selected 12 I had loved and had recommended as great pieces for layering. While I still like many of these sequin tanks, the majority are no longer available and while I wrote the post for winter the case can be made for sequin tanks as great stand alone tops for summer.

Whether you pair a sequin tank with white jeans for the daytime or pair them with cute shorts and sky high wedges for an evening out they are great!  The key to not looking like a disco ball is to pick a sparkly top, but keep the rest of the outfit subdued, especially the accessories.  I might get some comments that the combination of sequin and bright colors is too junior high but I beg to differ, it is all about how you style your look and who says you have to stick to muted or pewter color sequins? Definitely not me.  Therefore, here are my June 2014 favorite sequin tanks:
